Camerata Musica presents the fifth concert in our 2009-2010 season:
HammerWinds, Sunday, February 21, at 2:30 p.m.
in Loucks Lecture Hall at the Salem Public Library
Admission is free.

Members of HammerWinds:
Wayne Bennett, clarinet
Amy Goeser Kolb, oboe
Steve Vacchi, bassoon
Lydia Van Dreel, horn
Molly Barth, flute
Alexandre Dossin, piano

They are all on the University of Oregon Music Department faculty.  HammerWinds presented a fine concert in the Camerata Musica series in January 2008, and Amy Goeser Kolb also presented a bonus concert the next month.

The program includes:
Divertissement by Albert Roussel,
Sextet in c minor by Louise Farrenc, and
Sextet in B-flat Major by Ludwig Thuille

The French composers of this period wrote exciting music for winds and piano, and these three pieces are among the foremost examples.
