Amy Goeser Kolb is an assistant professor at the University of Oregon, where she teaches oboe and music appreciation. 

She spent nearly ten years in Europe freelancing, and as an advocate for new music she has commissioned, premiered, and recorded more than 200 new works, collaborating with composers from Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Central America, South America, and the United States.
